About Pastor Eddie
Ed is from Philippines. After finishing a degree in Mechanical Engineering from FEATI University in Manila, he joined the Philippine Navy and handled different positions as an engineer and as a lined navy officer. After completing twenty-one years active service with the rank of Lieutenant Commander, he left the navy and migrated to Australia in 1985. He joined Footscray Baptist Church in 1991 and became a deacon for more than 10 years. He has been active in many aspects of church life. A leader of Home Bible Study groups for Filipinos since joining FBC.
In 1998, Ed took a part time course of study in Whitley College, the Baptist College of Victoria and finished in 2003. In preparation for ordination, he took a Diploma in Ministry and finished in 2006. While still taking the course, he was called by the multicultural Footscray Baptist Church as member of the pastoral team in 2004. Also, he was posted by BUV as temporary pastor at Stawell Baptist Church while the current pastor was on mission.
In 2006, he was ordained by the Baptist Union of Victoria. The following year, January 2007, Reservoir Baptist Church called him as a part time senior pastor. Up to the present he handles the same position faithfully and with enthusiasm as servant of our Lord Jesus Christ.
